Introduction

We are updating our Privacy Policy to meet the new European protection law known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Notice is effective from 25th May 2018 and replaces the procedures regarding the handling of personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
This updated Policy explains how we collect and use the data when you interact with our website, the retention and protection of your personal data and how to contact us if you are not happy.
The scope of this Policy applies to Miss MPS website and wherever else this Privacy Notice may be mentioned or referenced regardless as to how you access the site. It’s likely that we may amend this Policy from time to time. Any updated versions will be posted on this site showing the effective date.

  1. Receive confirmation as to whether or not personal information concerning you is being processed and access your stored personal information, together with supplementary information.

  5. Object to the processing of personal information by us.

What Do We Class As Personal Information?

This is information relating to an identifiable natural person. A person who can be identified directly or indirectly, by a name, email, location data or more specific factors relating to, including to but not limited to the physical, genetic, or social identity of a natural person.
We do not and will not use any personal information that has been changed or amended so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific person.

Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable opportunity. Under applicable regulations, we will keep records containing client personal data, account opening documents, communications and anything else as required by applicable laws and regulations. 

We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

How We Collect You Personal Data

We will only collect your personal data when you call, or email any of the @missmps.co.uk email addresses, visit our website or use our services. For instance, but not limited too, if you have signed up to our newsletter, requested a call from us, used our services, requested a call back regarding Miss MPS or shown an interest in our services. This is classed as collecting your data with your consent.
We may need to collect and process your data for Legal compliance. There may be a legitimate interest for us to collect your data which might reasonably be expected as part of running a business

What information do we collect?

When using our website we will collect your name, telephone number and email address along with other details as shown on the contact form and for items relative to your items of interest. At times there may be an option for a postal address. A telephone number will be collected should you call our offices. Your email address will be collected with any correspondence, queries or contact sent to any of the @missmps.co.uk email addresses.

There may be a requirement to take notes of conversations with Miss MPS. These could include queries, complaints, preferences and services you have shown an interest in. Information is also obtained by the use of cookies in your web browser (please see our Cookies Policy). This could be which pages of our website you have visited, the location of your computer and any search items you may have entered.

    How do we receive information about you?

    We receive your Personal Information from various sources:
    • When you voluntarily provide us with your personal details in order to register on our Site;
    • When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our services;
    • From third-party providers, services and public registers (for example, traffic analytics vendors).

    How is the information used? With whom do we share the information?

    We use your personal data to send you details of the services you have requested, to improve our services and to provide you with personalised updates for other services that may be in your interests. We may also use it to send you marketing material. We will contact you regarding changes to Miss MPS, updates, amendments to our services and to provide customer services. 
    If the Law requires, your data may also be used to prevent, detect any fraudulent or criminal activities and if we were requested, to submit data to law enforcing bodies or Courts.

    We do not sell or disclose any personal information to any third party, whether this is for marketing or advertising purposes. We would gather your consent if this unlikely event arose. However we may disclose your information within the Miss MPS Ltd corporate entity in order to comply with any legal necessity regarding any User Agreements and to assist with our marketing and advertising activity. Your personal information may also be shared if we are required by Law or to detect, prevent or investigate any illegal or fraudulent activity that may be related to our services. At all times we will minimise the amount of personal information we disclose and will only share what is relevant and deemed a necessity for the purpose gained.
    Should we sell, expand or reduce the Miss MPS entity this may involve the movement of territories or even selling the business as a whole to new owners. If this is the case any relevant personal data will be transferred to the new owners, managers or any controlling entities. This will be covered under our terms as stated in this Privacy Notice. You will be notified of any business sale or transfer and you will be given the option to opt out of any of your data being retained by the new entities.

    You always have a choice as to how we collect your personal information, how we use it and communicate with you. You choose how we send marketing material to you whether customised or not and if we send it to you or we don’t. You have the choice to receive phone calls

    As required by applicable Law, you have the right to access your personal information; to correct, amend, and request a deletion or place a restriction on how we use it. You have the right to know what data we hold about you and we are happy to provide a copy of that data in a structured and readable format.

    Where Your Personal Data Will Be Processed

    We will keep your personal information for as long as deemed necessary for the purpose it was collected, to provide you with any of our services that you have requested by visiting our website and for any other legal or policy disputes. We may, periodically use your personal information to contact you to check and data cleanse our files, making sure you still consent to us holding your personal information and that our services are relevant.

    How Long Will We Keep Your Personal Information

    Your data will only be processed within the UK. If any data is collected outside the UK it will be transferred to our UK base.

    Cookies

    We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or access our services.

    We use a tool which is based on the Snowplow Analytics  technology to collect information about your use of the Site. The tool collects information such as how often users access the Site, which pages they visit when they do so, etc. The tool does not collect any Personal Information and is only used by our Site hosting and operating service provider to improve the Site and services.

    Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

    In order to present our contents correctly and make them graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts ( https://www.google.com/webfonts ) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font. 
    • Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries collect data.

    Third-party collection of information

    We do not sell or give your information to anyone.
    This Policy does not cover third parties and their services, nor do we take any responsibility for the way they use your information should you have signed up for their services via a link from our website. This could be for outsourced services not operated by Miss MPS. We cannot guarantee the security or privacy of your data if you disclose your information to any third party. Please consult these Parties directly and review their website for their Privacy Policy.

    How do we safeguard your information?

    We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Site and your information. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorised access or abuse our Site, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access.

    Transfer of data outside the EEA 

    Please note that some data recipients may be located outside the EEA. In such cases we will transfer your data only to such countries as approved by the European Commission as providing adequate level of data protection, or enter into legal agreements ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

    Advertisements

    We may use a third-party advertising technology to serve advertisements when you access the Site. This technology uses your information with regards to your use of the Services to serve advertisements to you (e.g., by placing third-party cookies on your web browser).

    We may use your Personal Information such as your name, email address, telephone number, etc., ourselves or by using our third-party subcontractors, for the purpose of providing you with promotional materials concerning our services which we believe may interest you.  

    To respect your right to privacy, within such marketing materials we provide you with the means to opt out of receiving further marketing offers from us. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address or telephone number from our marketing distribution lists. 

    Please note that even if you have unsubscribed from receiving marketing emails from us, we may send you other types of important email communications without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. These may include customer service announcements or administrative notices.

    Corporate transaction

    Minors

    We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. The Site is not designed for or directed at children. Under no circumstances shall we allow the use of our services by minors without prior consent or authorisation by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors.     Updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of the Platform, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
